THE TRINITY
This rare piece of ash fell into my hands back then (2018) while processing firewood on the Prangendorf farm. The ash trunks of that time were sawn onto approximately 60 cm pieces using a chainsaw. The trunk pieces were then rolled, set up and placed under a hydraulic wood splitting hammer, which was operated with the support of a tractor. There was a very special sound in one of these fission processes. It was the sound of something sounding. A mixture of a bell and the bright warm sound of the wood. Comparable to the sound of a wooden xylophone. Just faster and more brutal. I'm not exaggerating when I say: It was magical! It was immediately clear that this piece of ash was destined for more than just ending up in the oven. I waited patiently until 2022 so as not to interrupt the decline too early.
The wait and the decision to keep it at all costs were more than worth it!
