THE CURRENT

It was 2022 when a strong hurricane swept across the country in northern Germany (Mecklenburg - Western Pomerania) in autumn. This wind lifted off roof tiles and caused some trees to fall. Among other things, a white beech tree on a main road. The fire department cleared the road of the same day at night, allowing traffic to continue the next day without any problems. We knew the fire department and they asked us if we could have the rest of the tree if we wanted. What awaited us locally was more the crown than the thick main trunk. But enough wood for future winter days. Due to the brute force of the hurricane, the beech tree hit the asphalt with its branches, forming this fragment. I just had to access. It immediately caught my eye. How telling that these forces of nature have brought me this unique piece of white beech, especially on the river/road. In 2025, I refined it in stages.
